再放送は9/26（土）夜8時から：私立恵比寿中学「ちゅうおん」の感想（フジテレビtwo） They will rerun the concert at 20:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26: My impression of the live streaming of Ebichu’s concert called ‘Chu-on’ by Fuji TV two

　初めて観たちゅうおんは、しっとりと落ち着いた音楽会でした。これまでに観たライブやコンサートビデオでのエビ中は、とにかく元気いっぱいで、観客のコールも含めてとっても賑やかな印象があっただけに、初めは驚きました。放送された第2部のセトリは次の通りです。

　It was the first time for me to watch the concert called Chu-on which was performed in a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. I was surprised at first because I had an impression that their concert is so powerful and lively with call and response between the audience and them while watching their concert live or videos. The set list of the second stage which was streamed was as follows.

　コンサートの幕開けは、THE BOOMの「風になりたい」。世代を選ばない、誰もが楽しめる曲です。それからはエビ中自身の楽曲が続きました。椎名林檎さんのトリビュートアルバム収録曲で、今やすっかり自分たちのものになっている「自由へ道連れ」、ポルカドットスティングレイの雫さん作曲の「SHAKE SHAKE」などを聴くにつけ、エビ中の楽曲のすそ野の広さを改めて思いました。ライブで初披露の「23回目のサマーナイト」はバラードバージョンでした。思いがけなく大人なエビ中を魅せ付けてきます。

　They started the concert with the song called ‘Kaze ni Naritai’ originally sung by THE BOOM. That song is so famous that every generation knows, and everybody can enjoy easily. After that, they sang their own songs. I realized the wide variety of their songs while listening to such songs as ‘Jiyu ni Michizure’ originally sung by Sheena Ringo but it can be said that it’s already Ebichu’s song since they recorded it for Ringo’s tribute album, ‘SHAKE SHAKE’ written by Shizuku from Polkadot Stingray, and so on. ‘23 Kaime no Summer Night’, which was sung in a concert for the first time, was a ballad version. It has unexpectedly adult atmosphere.

　ちゅうおんでは恒例らしく、メンバー1人1人がカバー曲を歌うコーナーがありました。オリジナルのアーティストを順に挙げると、Official髭男dism、Superfly、iri、きのこ帝国、中島みゆき、そして奥田民生という多彩さです。なかには歌唱力が追い付かないような難曲があるのは一目瞭然ですが、どのメンバーも、曲を自分の内に取り込み、個性に応じて見事に歌いこなします。エビ中の魅力が一人一人の個性に依っていることを実感して、ますますこのグループが好きになりました。

　There is always a segment in which every member sings solo in this concert Chu-on. The original artists of the songs they covered were like Official Hige Dan dism, Superfly, iri, Kinoko Teikoku, Nakajima Miyuki, and Okuda Tamio.  You can see some songs require singing skills with a glance but every member took in the essence of the song to sing it with their own character. I realized that the whole appeal of Ebichu consists of each member’s fascination and ended up being attracted by this band even more.

　そのあとは自分が大好きな曲ばかりで喜びました。特にアイドル楽曲大賞2019で1位を獲得した「星の数え方」では、見事なハモリで圧倒されました。

　フジテレビtwoでは、9/26（土）夜8時からこのコンサートの再放送があるそうで大喜びしています。見逃した方はぜひ。

　After that, all the songs they sang were my favorite ones. I was almost overwhelmed with their beautiful harmony when they sang the song called ‘Hoshi no Kazoekata’, which won the Idol Song Award 2019.

　To my great joy, Fuji TV two will rerun the video of this concert at 8:00 p.m. on Sat. September 26. I want people who missed it last time to watch the rerun.

ネットで観れるTVありがたい：私立恵比寿中学「ちゅうおん」の生中継（フジテレビtwoにて視聴） Online TV programs are quite good: The live streaming of Ebichu’s concert called ‘Chu-on’ by Fuji TV two

　いい時代に生きています。観れるはずのないライブを、家に居ながらにして観ることができる時代です。秩父ミューズパークで開催された「エビ中 秋麗と轡虫と音楽のこだま 題して『ちゅうおん』2020」の生中継を、フジテレビtwoで視聴しました。

　We live in a great era. We can enjoy a concert live at home without going there. I watched the concert called ‘Ebichu Akiurara to Kutsuwamushi to Ongaku no Kodama, shortened to “Chu-on” 2020’ held at Chichibu Muse Park in real time on Fuji TV two.

　月額1,100円（税込み）のこのサービスは、本来スカパーやケーブルテレビ向けのものですが、インターネットでも配信していて、パソコンやスマホで視聴できるようになっています。今回はインターネット配信の利用で、パソコンをTVにつないで視聴しました。手続きはとても簡単でした。

　You can use this service for 1,100 yen per month and this service was originally designed for some online TV services such as SkyPerfecTV, cable TV, etc. but you can choose the direct streaming service so you watch its programs on your computer or smartphone. This time I used the direct streaming service connecting my computer to my TV so I could watch it on my TV.   

　「ちゅうおん」は昼の公演、夕方の公演の2部構成で、生中継があったのは2日目の第2部、つまり最後の公演でした。このコンサートは通常のライブとは違い、着席しての観賞、ペンライトなし、コールもなしで、演奏と歌をじっくりと堪能する構成になっています。ホーンやストリングスまで揃えた13名の「エビ中バンド」による演奏は、それだけで聴きごたえのあるすばらしいものでした。

　‘Chuon’ consists of two concerts a day, the daytime one and the night-time one. The concert I watched this time was the night-time one, the last performance, on the second day. ‘Chuon’is quite different from the ordinary one because the audience has to stay sitting without penlight, even call and response was not allowed, so they just intently listen to the music and the songs. The music played by the band called ‘Ebichu band’, which has 13 performers including the horn section and the strings, was so enjoyable apart from the songs.

　ほんとにデートしてるような気にまんまとさせられます。メンバー6人、それぞれがデートしている様子を相手目線で見ていくという設定のこのMV。ついつい観てしまって、おかげで夏が終われずにいます。

　I somehow feel as if I were going out with them while watching this video. It’s a video about each of the six members having a date and it was filmed from their boyfriends’ point of view. I can’t stop watching it so I have a feeling that summer is not over.

　“永遠の中学生”であるエビ中メンバーには中学11年生（23歳）もいて、お酒も夜のデートも大丈夫です。中学生らしい元気のよさはそのままに、大人の魅力も発揮できるようになったエビ中は、ますますパフォーマンスの幅を広げています。

　“The eternal junior high” Ebichu has some members who are the 17 graders (23 years old) so they can drink alcohol and go out at night. In addition to their vigor like that of junior high students, they can also behave like grown-ups so their performance has gained in breadth recently.  

　この曲が収録されたE.P.「FAMIEN ’20 e.p.」の収録曲は次の通りです。

　2曲目の「誘惑したいや」は2013年の曲を現在の6人で録りなおしたものです。当時は背伸びして歌っていたのが、今はその歌詞にすっかり追い付いているのが伝わります。

　‘Yuwaku Shitaiya’, the second track, had originally been released in 2013, and this time they rerecorded it with the current six members. They had been too young to sing the song at that time, but now they’ve totally caught up with the lyrics for sure. 

　今日と明日、「エビ中 秋麗と轡虫と音楽のこだま 題して『ちゅうおん』2020」が開催されます。秩父ミューズパークで毎年行われるこの公演は、久しぶりの有観客でのイベントです。セトリにはきっと「23回目のサマーナイト」も入ることでしょう。行ける人が羨ましいですが、いつか参加するぞと勝手に決意しています。

　Today and tomorrow, they hold a concert called ‘Ebichu Akiurara to Kutsuwamushi to Ongaku no Kodama, shortened to “Chu-on” 2020’. This concert, which takes place at Chichibu Muse Park every year, is an event that finally admits an audience after a long time. The song ’23 Kaime no Summer Night’ may be sung in the concert. 見た目が好きなプリンター：ブラザーDCP-J982 あのドラマでも見かけました A Printer That Looks Good: DCP-J982 by Brother Which Appeared in the Drama

　全く主観的な感想です。同価格帯の他社の機種との比較はしていません。ブラザーのプリンターを買うのは少なくとも15年以上ぶりで、機能の向上面でも何も言えません。ただ、今まで使っていた他社の機種が壊れ、7月に買い替えたこのプリンターには、これまでにない満足感があります。

　This is a sheer subjective impression. I didn’t even compare this printer with any other company’s products in the same price range. Plus it’s been more than 15 years since I last bought a Brother’s printer, so I have nothing to say about their upgrades. I bought this printer in July because the old one was broken, and now I feel a sense of satisfaction that I had never felt before when buying a printer.

　何よりも、好きなのは見た目です。どちらかと言えばビジネスライクで、家庭的ではない佇まいですが、そこがむしろ気に入っています。最近は、液晶だけでの操作が当たり前になっているのでしょうが、最低限必要なボタンも残されているのが好みです。以前使っていたものより、厚みは増していますが、奥行きと横幅はコンパクトです。

　The best part of the printer is the design. It looks rather businesslike, not domestic, but that’s the very reason I like it. Recently, it may be a current trend to operate them by only touching the screen but the printer still has the minimum necessary buttons and that suits my taste. This printer is taller than the old one but narrower and shallower.

　機能面で優れていると感じるところもあります。まず、給紙のしやすさです。トレイの出し入れがスムーズで、あまり引き出さなくても用紙を足すことができます。ハガキや写真用紙のセットも容易です。次に印刷の早さです。他のレビューを見る限り、平均速度では他社製品に劣るのでしょうが、1枚目が出てくるのがとにかく早くて、少量の文書の印刷では全くストレスがありません。排紙についても、前面への飛び出しが少ないのはかなりありがたいです。意外に便利なのが、上部のADF（自動原稿送り装置）です。文書のスキャンが手軽にできます。驚いたのは、インクカートリッジの取り付け、交換のしやすさです。こんなにアクセスしやすく、ストレスを感じないのは初めてです。4色インクでコスパがいいのも嬉しいところです。

　The printer has some good aspects in function, too. First, it is easy to put paper in the feed tray. You can open or close the tray smoothly and you don’t need to open it fully when you set paper in it. It is also easy to set postcard or photo paper. Second, it can print quite fast. As far as I can see from others’ review, the average printing speed of this printer seems to be  lower than that of the rival companies’ products, but it can print the first page so fast that I don’t feel stressed when I print a small number of documents. I appreciate the fact that it doesn’t require so much space at the output tray. There is an ADF (Auto Document Feeder) on the upper side and that is unexpectedly useful. The ADF make the scanning easier. To my surprise, it is so easy to put on or change the ink cartridges. That is so accessible with the least stress compared to the old ones. This printer uses only four ink bottles so its running cost is not so high.

　一番嬉しかったのは、ドラマ「私の家政夫ナギサさん」で多部未華子さん演じるメイの部屋にこのプリンターが置いてあったことでした。

　I was so pleased when I found this printer in the drama called ‘Watashi no Kaseifu Nagisa San’ in which the printer was sitting in a room of the main character called May, played by Tabe Mikako.turkeyrice.hateblo.jp

NHKやっぱりすごい：SWITCHインタビュー達人達「亀田誠治×中田崇志」② Sure Enough NHK Is Doing a Good Job: SWITCH Interview Tatsujintachi ‘Kameda Seiji × Nakada Takashi’②

　続いて、音楽プロデューサーとはどんな仕事かという問いに対し、「アーティストの思いをかなえる仕事です」と亀田さんは答えました。これは、伴走者として選手のメダルへの思いをかなえる中田さんにも通じるところです。「アーティストの気持ちをくみ取って最高の音楽を作る」ことを心掛けているという亀田さんは、決まったやり方などないこと、とにかく相手の話をよく聞いて成功へのアプローチを考えることの大切さを語っていました。中田さんも、伴走者として選手の気持ちをくみ取るという点で全く同じことが言えると共感していました。

　Then Nakata asked Kameda what the job as a music producer is like, and he answered, “It is a music producer’s job to make an artist’s dream come true.”. Nakata who is a pacesetter also make an athlete’s dream, winning a medal, come true, so on that point there is the same quality in both jobs. What Kameda makes a point of in his job is, “Taking the artist’s feelings in consideration to produce the best music”, so he has no routine method in doing that and he always tries to listen carefully to what the artist has to say in order to decide the way to achieve success. Nakata empathized on that point again because he has to take the athlete’s feelings as a pacesetter.

　それから、亀田さんが音楽の道を志したきっかけは何だったのかが話題になります。「全米トップ４０」というアメリカのラジオ番組をきっかけにポップスにのめり込み、小学5年生から高校2年生まで、自分の部屋でラジオ番組のまねごとをしていたというエピソードが大変興味深かったです。

　After that,  they talked about why Kameda made up his mind to be a musician. I was really interested in an episode that Kameda used to listen to a radio program called `American Top 40` and ended up being intrigued by pop music so much that he always used to play radio program in his room from the 5th grade through the 11th grade.

　椎名林檎さんとの出会いについても言及がありました。他の音楽関係者から、自分たちでは手に負えない新人アーティストがいると紹介されたこと。ジャンルにこだわらない椎名林檎さんの姿勢に大いに共感したこと。「ないがち」を合言葉に曲作りをしていったこと。制作過程では、ヒットは狙わず、結果的についてくるものと信じていたことなど、林檎好きにはたまらない話題が続きました。40歳にして初めてのバンド活動となった東京事変についても、やはり「ないがち」を追求していたことや、自分よりも年下のメンバーから大いに刺激を受けたことなどが語られました。

　He also mentioned his first encounter with Sheena Ringo. He was introduced to her by an acquaintance involved in music industry and he said that she is too eccentric to work with. He empathized with her unorthodox attitude ignoring genres. They co-produced music repeating the catchword “something never happened before”. They believed that effort always brings results and never aimed big hits. These episodes are exactly what Ringo’s fans want to hear. TOKYO JIHEN, the band he joined in his 40s for the first time in his life, also pursued the same theme “something never happened before” and he was stimulated by other members who are all younger that him.

　番組の終わりの方で亀田さんが言った「若い者には抜かれろ」という言葉が心に残りました。亀田さんの姿勢そのものだと感じました。音楽業界、というより日本の音楽の未来そのものを見つめている亀田さんは、これまでもNHKの番組「亀田音楽専門学校」で校長としてヒット曲の秘密を分かりやすく解説しています。今年の7月には、旺文社から亀田さんが監修した「音楽が楽しくなる」という子ども向けの本が出版されています。尊敬の念をますます深くしています。

　Kameda said,“You should be overtaken by young talents”, at the end of the program and the words still remains in my mind. I felt it is exactly his own attitude. He is always concerning the music industry, or the future of music in Japan, so he appeared in an educational program called ‘Kameda Ongaku Senmon Gakko’ by NHK in which he played the principal of the music vocational school explaining some secrets of hit songs. He also supervised an educational book for children titled “Ongaku ga Tanoshiku Naru”, published by Obunsha in July this year. Now I respect him all the more.

NHKやっぱりすごい：SWITCHインタビュー達人達「亀田誠治×中田崇志」① Sure Enough NHK Is Doing a Good Job: SWITCH Interview Tatsujintachi ‘Kameda Seiji × Nakada Takashi’

　伴奏と伴走。読み方だけではなく、本当に通じ合うものがあることが浮き彫りになりました。J-pop好きなら言わずと知れた伴奏及び音楽プロデュースの達人、亀田誠治さんと、パラリンピックの陸上種目で選手をメダルへと導く伴走の達人、中田崇志さんの対談は、とっても興味深く、示唆に富んだものでした。

　An accompanist and a pacesetter. Both words in Japanese are pronounced in the same way, banso, but with different meanings, even so, I realized that they have something in common in some ways. The dialogue between the two people, the one is Kameda Seiji, a master of accompaniment and music produce who is well known to J-pop fans, and the other is Nakata Takashi, a master of pacesetting who leads the athletes in Paralympic track and field competition to the medals, was so interesting and thought-provoking.  

　番組前半は、国立競技場を臨むホテルでの、亀田さんから中田さんへのインタビューでした。中田崇志さんについて、自分は全く知りませんでした。伴走者という立場で、選手とともに頑張る人たちがいることも今回初めて知りました。それだけに、中田さんのお話は大変興味深く、大げさではなく、感動しました。

　In the first half of the program, Kameda interviewed Nakata at a hotel commanding the National Athletic Stadium. I didn’t know Nakata Takashi at all. I also didn’t know the people who support Paralympic athletes as a pacesetter. That’s why I’m all the more interested in his story and ended up, this may sound like an exaggeration, being moved,

　後半は、日比谷野音のステージで中田さんから亀田さんへのインタビューでした。初めは、亀田さん主宰の日比谷音楽祭についての話題でした。「フリーで誰もが参加できる、ボーダーレスな音楽祭」をコンセプトとしたこのイベントは、コロナウィルス感染拡大のため、今年は残念ながら実施を見送ったとのこと。しかし、昨年6月の開催時には、KREVAさんやJUJUさん、石川さゆりさんなど、大物アーティストが登場し、さらにはシークレットゲストとして、椎名林檎さんと宮本浩次さんが登場してデュエット曲「獣ゆく細道」を披露するなど、無料のイベントとは思えないほどの豪華さだった模様。中止になったことで、300人の仕事が無くなったけれども、クラウドファンディングで1千万円以上を集めることができたということでした。オーディエンスとしても、そうした形で音楽業界を支えることができることがわかって、素晴らしい取組だと思いました。

　In the second half, Nakata interviewed Kameda on the stage at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. At first, Nakata asked Kameda about the event called Hibiya Music Festival. This event whose theme is ‘A borderless music festival anyone can join for free’ has unfortunately been canceled this year due the corona virus pandemic. However, last year’s event held in June was so brilliant for a free event that a lot of such big names as KREVA, JUJU, Ishikawa Sayuri and so on, plus as a secret guest, Sheena Ringo and Miyamoto Hiroji singing their duet song ‘Kemono Yuku Hosomichi’ appeared on the stage. The cancelation caused people to lose their jobs but Kameda could raise over ten million yen on crowdfunding. I found it was a great honor for audience to be able to support the music industry in such a way.

ライブ配信の喜び：「東京事変2O2O.7.24閏vision特番ニュースフラッシュ」 The Delights of the Streaming Video of a Concert: ‘TOKYO JIHEN 2020.7.24 Uruu vision Tokuban News Flash’

　今年の元日に発表された、東京事変再結成のニュースは衝撃でした。しかも、配信曲「選ばれざる国民」のリリース、ライブツアーの発表も併せて行われ、もう喜びでどうにかなりそうだった方も多いと思います。自分もすぐにライブのチケットを購入しようとしましたが、案の定外れてしまいました。しかもその後の新型コロナ感染拡大で、ツアー自体が中止となりました。

　The news, which was announced on New year’s day of this year, about the reunion of the band called TOKYO JIHEN impacted on some music fans. On the same day, they released a digital single, `Erabarezaru Kokumin `, and also announced that they will have a concert tour this year so I believe some people were almost crazy with joy. I tried to get a ticket for the concert immediately but unfortunately failed as I had feared. However, the tour was canceled due to the corona pandemic.

　すっかり諦めていたものの、8月末になってまた嬉しいニュースがありました。9月5日（土）午後7時より、ライブ映像の配信が行われるというニュースでした。映画館での上映も選択できましたが、残念ながら長崎の映画館はリストになく、ネットでの視聴を選びました。

　公式ホームページでも公開されているセトリは以下の通りです。

　I had given up the idea of going to the concert but I got good news about it at the end of August. It said that they would release streaming video of their concert on Saturday September 5 at 7:00 p.m.. It also said that they would show the concert at some theaters, too, but unfortunately no theaters in Nagasaki was on the list so I chose to watch it on the internet.

　好きな曲ばかりです。閃光少女とキラーチューンが並んでいます。幸せでした。浦島太郎の行った竜宮城は、きっとこんな場所だったのでしょう。彼が居続けたのもうなずけます。東京事変の楽曲は、決して色褪せるものではありません。これだけの楽曲を家に居ながら、今回は2,222円という破格な料金で楽しめました。リアルタイムの配信ではなく、7月24日に収録したものだったからでしょうか。それにしてもお得です。

　All the songs are my favorite. Killer Tune is just after Senko Shojyo. I really felt happy. I’m sure that Ryugujyo where Urashima Taro had been must have been a place like that. It does make sense that he stayed there for a long time. The songs by TOKYO JIHEN never fade. I enjoyed that many songs for only 2,222 yen at home this time.
