毎年この時期になると、どうしてもクリスマスソングを聴いてしまいます。今では、音楽アプリで簡単に既成のプレイリストが楽しめますが、意外に自分が聴きたい曲が入っていません。子どもの頃によく聴いていたクリスマスソングを探して、自分なりのプレイリストを作るのは楽しいものです。
I cannot help listening to Christmas songs this time of year. Now we can enjoy them easily on musical apps choosing Christmas-song-playlits, they sometimes don't have my favorite ones though. It is fun to find Christmas songs that I loved in my childhood to make my own playlist.

Some Christians songs from Motown label are quite good. The song I mention here was sung by Stevie Wonder when he was young. Its single was released in 1966 and its message still resonate more deeply in our minds.

The quiet atmosphere and the subdued way of singing highlight the message of this song. Unfortunately I have to say that "someday" is all the more far away these days. I wonder how many people would have to spend their Christmas in killing fields.

Happy Christmas by John Lennon was released in 1971. This song was released 4 years earlier than it. People began to be tired of Vietnam War at that time and they also became skeptical about the justice of it, so it is easy to imagine how this song sounded in their minds.

Among Christmas songs, there are standard ones and love songs, some of them have pretty easy going vibes, and many of them are worth listening. However, I'd like to keep in mind that there are serious ones like this, too. Now I realize how happy I am to live in Japan and be able to peacefully enjoy Christmas.
