エビ中の隠れた名曲⁉：私立恵比寿中学「スターダストライト」 A Little-known Masterpiece by Ebichu: `Stardust Light` by Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku - Turkeyriceの勝手に英訳ブログ　Turkeyrice's Blog Written in both Japanese and English

　「ちゅうおん」（エビ中恒例の秋のライブです）で初めて聴きました。エビ中にとって、メジャーデビュー2枚目のシングル「GoGo!Here We Go!ロック・リー/大人はわかってくれない」（2012）でリリースされた3種類のCDの一つに収録されていた曲のようです。プレイリストに入れて毎日聴いています。

　I heard this song for the first time in their concert called `Chuon`, a regular one they hold in autumn every year. It is contained in their second single CD released from a major label and the title of the CD is `GoGo!Here We Go! Rock Lee/ Otona wa Wakatte Kurenai` (2012), which has three version and this song is in one of them. I've added it to my playlist and enjoy it every day.

　目の前の後ろ姿でもすごく遠くて

　勇気出して話しかけて少しずつ距離縮まっていって

　嬉しいのにどこか切なくて胸が痛むんだ

　　Your back is in front of me but I felt it’s in the distance

　　I thought I wanted to know more about you getting closer to you

　　Although I was glad but also somehow felt a wistful pang painfully

　　There will be limitless chances for sure

　　Even an uneasy feeling could be useful

　　Even a tiny light can shine brightly in the story about twinkling stardust

　「ちゅうおん」バージョンは、しっとりと歌い上げるスローなバラードでした。いい曲、と思ってオリジナルを聴いて驚きました。こちらはアゲアゲで編曲のよさが際立っています。歌の合間に入る木管（フルート？）の音がとても気持ちよくて心に残ります。同じ曲とは思えません。どちらもよいです。

　The ‘Chuon’ version of this song is a slow ballad which they sang gently and with great emotion. I found it so good, so I gave the original version a try and ended up being surprised. That’s because it is an up-tempo song with an exquisite arrangement. You may find the sound of the woodwind (a flute?) so good that it will remain in your mind. It is unbelievable that those two are the same song.

　先日、「ちゅうおん」のCDが届きました。あらためてこの曲を聴いてみると、エビ中の8年間の成長が見て取れます。今のエビ中には、どんな曲でも自分たちのものにできるポテンシャルを感じます。安本彩花さんが戻って、6人での新しいアルバムができる日が待ち遠しいです。

　The ‘Chuon’ live CD that I had ordered was delivered the other day. Now I listen to this song again and realize that they have grown through for these eight years. I have a feeling that they have the potential to be able to sing any sort of song whatsoever. I can’t wait to listen to their new album with the full six members after Yasumoto Ayaka coming back some time in the future.
