　いきなりのボーカルから入るこの曲は、まぶしいくらいの多幸感に満ちています。幾田りらさんの２ndアルバム「Jukebox」に収録されている「ロマンスの約束」は、ウエディングソングと言われても信じてしまうほど、愛の形をまっすぐに歌い上げる曲です。YOASOBIの「夜に駆ける」の歌詞を思うとき、めまいを覚えるほどのギャップを感じます。

　This song which starts with her singing voice is filled with a sense of euphoria. The song called ‘Romance no Yakusoku’, which is contained in Lilas Ikuta’s 2^nd album called ‘Jukebox’, has straightforwardly romantic lyrics so it can be called a wedding song. I’m almost overwhelmed by the huge gap between the lyrics of this song and of the song called ‘Yoru ni Kakeru’ by YOASOBI, the duo that she belongs to.

　いくつかのインタビュー記事や動画を通じて、自分が勝手に抱いている幾田りらさんの人柄は、裏表の無いまっすぐな人、というものです。ともすれば斜に構えてしまいがちな幸せソングなのに、こんなに素直に受け止められるのは、彼女のイメージと何ら矛盾がないからだと思います。それでいて、YOASOBIの楽曲を歌うときに見せるクールな一面もやはり彼女らしさに違いありません。

　The image of what she is like, which I’ve built up in my mind through some interview articles or videos, is that she is not hypocritical but is very honest. I tend to dislike this kind of happy song, but somehow like this one because the lyrics are consistent with my image of her. On top of that, the coolness that she shows when she sings YOASOBI’s songs is also like her for sure.

　幾田りらさんは、Netflixで10月23日より配信されているアニメーション映画『フェイフェイと月の冒険』の日本語版エンド・クレジット・ソング「ロケット・トゥ・ザ・ムーン～信じた世界へ～」も歌っています。ミュージカル調のこんな曲まで歌ってしまう彼女の、アーティストとしての振れ幅を思うとき、これからの活動の展開がますます楽しみです。

Lilas Ikuta also sings the song called ‘Rocket to the Moon -Shinjita Sekai e-’, the Japanese version of the end credit song for the movie called‘Over the Moon’ distributed by Netflix on October 23^rd. I’m really looking forward to seeing how she will develop her activities because I realize she can cover a wide range of music genre including musical songs like that.
