This song was originally released by Bing Crosby in America in 1943, during World War Ⅱ. It was written from the view point of a soldier in a battlefield longing to be with his family at Christmas. I keenly feel how he hold someone dear so I’m filled with heartrending sorrow with the words “If only in my dreams”.
