このコロナ禍で、様々な公演やイベントが中止になり、残念な思いをされている方は多いと思います。オーディエンスとしてフラストレーションが募るのは当然ですが、アーティストも運営側も大変な状況になっているのは明らかです。大袈裟かもしれませんが、ポップカルチャーは今、窮地にあると言っていいと思います。この急場を凌ぐために、運営側にはできることをやってほしいし、オーディエンスとしてもそれに応えていきたいところです。
I know a lot of people felt disappointed because various concerts and events were canceled due to the corona pandemic. Audiences are frustrated, of course, but it is obvious that artists and the people who organize events are in deep distress, too. This may sound like an exaggeration, but I can probably say that pop culture is in a difficult situation. I want them to do anything they can to deal with this situation and I want to do anything I can as part of an audience.

昨年、ふとしたきっかけでエビ中のファンになりました。エビ中のファンはファミリーと呼ばれます。今は自分もファミリーの一員であることを誇りに思っています。エビ中はとにかく楽曲に恵まれています。正直、アイドルには興味が薄かった自分がエビ中ファミリーになったのは、やはりいい曲に出会えたからでした。もっともっと売れていいアーティストです。まだ聴かれたことのない方には、ぜひ、一度聴いてほしいと思います。
I became a fan of Ebichu by chance last year. The fans of Ebichu are called their family. I feel proud to be a member of their family. Ebichu has a lot of good songs. Honestly, I was not interested in idols very much and the reason that I became part of the family was that I found one of their songs so good. In my opinion, they have a lot of songs which could hit the chart. I want you to listen to their songs intently if you’ve never done so.
御多分にもれず、エビ中の春ツアーも中止になりました。ペンライトも買って、デビュー曲から復習して勝手に高まっていただけに本当に残念でした。それでも、エビ中主演の舞台配信や、昨年のライブ音源のCD、ライブ映像を収めたブルーレイなどの発売があり、運営側の努力を感じていました。そして、いよいよ今夜、無観客とはいえ、エビ中のライブが行われることになりました。有料配信（3500円）ですが、好きなアーティストのパフォーマンスをリアルタイムで楽しめるなら安いものです。見逃し配信もあるようで、仕事や用事がある人も安心です。今夜が待ちきれません。
Ebichu’s spring concert tour, like so many others’, has been canceled. I was really disappointed because I was so keyed up that I bought a penlight and relisten to all of their songs from the debut single. However I can see they make great effort from what they’ve done such as streaming video of Ebichu performing a play on the stage, the release of a CD containing their concert last year, the release of a blu-ray disc containing a video of their concert, and so on. Tonight, they will finally hold an online concert without an audience. That is not a free service (3500 yen) but I think it is quite reasonable because I can enjoy the live performance by my favorite artist. The content will be available for a limited period so there is nothing to worry about even if you are busy with some work or something else you have to do. I can’t wait to watch it tonight.
