ライブレポート：GLIM SPANKY Live Tour 2021at Zepp Fukuoka - Turkeyriceの勝手に英訳ブログ　Turkeyrice's Blog Written in both Japanese and English

　ずっと行きたかったGLIM SPANKYのライブ、ついに行けました。11月21日（日）、雨の中長崎から向かった先は、シーサイドももちにあるZepp Fukuoka。開演時間は18：00でした。

　I was finally able to go to GLIM SPANKY’s live concert which I had been wanting to go to forever. On November 21st, I left Nagasaki in the rain for Zepp Fukuoka in Seaside Momochi, and the curtain time was at 6 p.m.

　昨年、「東京は燃えてる」をきっかけにファンになった自分ですが、彼らが行った２つのオンラインライブを通じて、もうすっかりとりこになっていました。松尾レミさんのあのハスキーな声、そして亀本寛貴のノイジーでパワフルなギターを生で聴けたらどんなにいいだろう。悶々とした日々でしたが、今回ようやくその願いが叶いました。座席は、最後列でした。それでも、彼らのパフォーマンスは期待以上の迫力で伝わりました。

　I have been a fan of GLIM SPANKY since I listened to their song called ‘Tokyo wa Moeteru’ last year. I enjoyed their online live concert twice and ended up being fascinated by them. I’ve been longing for their live performance, Remi Matsuo’s husky voice, and Hiroki Kamemoto’s loud and powerful guitar sounds. I had been frustrated for a long time but my wish finally came true. My seat was in the rearmost row. Even so, I was able to enjoyed their performance more than I expected.

　昨年10月リリースの「Walking On Fire」以来、新譜を出していない中でのセトリは、これまでの楽曲を新旧織り交ぜて聴かせる内容でした。GLIM SPANKYは、2014年のメジャーデビュー以来、これまでに5枚のアルバムを出しています。今回のセトリでは、それぞれのアルバムから、自分が特に好きな楽曲が取り上げられていて喜びました。

　As for the setlist, there were both their earlier songs and latest ones because they haven’t released their new album recently. They have released five albums since they debuted on their major label in 2014. This time they selected songs from each album and some of them are my favorite ones so I was pleased very much.

　思うようにライブができないもどかしさは、GLIM SPANKYの二人にとってはなおさらだったにちがいありません。MCの度に、2人はツアーができる喜びを言葉にしていました。松尾レミさんの「あたしも、みんなと同じで音楽が好きな1人。同じ音楽好きな仲間と集えて本当に嬉しい」という言葉が心に残りました。それにしても、レミさんの歌声と亀本さんのギターリフは、なんであんなにすてきなんでしょう。世代を超えて響く彼らの楽曲には、変わらない何かと新しい何かがないまぜになった独特の魅力があります。最近リリースされた3曲も素晴らしい楽曲ばかりです。次のアルバムとライブツアーが楽しみでなりません。

　I suppose that the most irritated ones by being unable to have concerts must have been the two members of GLIM SPANKY. They told the audience, in every MC, how happy they were because they were able to have the concert tour. What Remi Matsuo said, “I am someone who love music just as you do. I’m so glad to have you all here now” still remains in my mind. I was really impressed by Remi’s singing voice and the Kamemoto’s guitar refrains. Their songs have unique attractiveness which is a mixed bag of something unchangeable and something new. The latest three songs by them are also fabulous. I’m really looking forward to their next album and the next concert tour.
