音楽って素晴らしい。心の底からそう思いました。歌が、演奏が、ステージングが、そしてカメラワークまで含めた全てがエキサイティングで、ずっとワクワクし通しでした。昨晩19時から配信された、GLIM SPANKYのオンラインライブの興奮が未だ冷めずにいます。アーカイブは、3日間残してくれるそうです。まだ観ていない方のために、できるだけネタバレなしの感想にするつもりです。
Music is so good. I felt so from the bottom of my heart while watching the concert. All the things like the songs, the performance, the staging and the camerawork were so exciting and exhilarating. I’m still moved by the online concert by GLIM SPANKY, which they streamed at 7:00 p.m. yesterday. You can watch it for three days if you bought the ticket. I’m writing my impression trying not to spoil your fun in case you haven’t watched it yet.
先月リリースされた新譜、「Walking on Fire」を聴いてこのデュオを好きになった、にわかファンの自分です。もちろん、サブスクやYouTubeで以前の楽曲についても事前に予習はしていました。それでも、一体どれだけ楽しめるのか、観るまでは正直不安でした。しかし、そんなのは全くの杞憂でした。最初の数曲は新譜からで、しかも自分の好きな曲ばかりです。短いMCをはさんだあと、以前の楽曲を入れてきましたが、予習していた曲が多く、めちゃくちゃノレました。最近このブログで取り上げた曲は全てやってくれました。数曲おきに短いMCを入れながら、楽器を持ち替えます。すごいと思ったのは、初めて聴く曲でも楽しめたことでした。いや、むしろ知らない曲の方がよりワクワクしたかもしれません。彼らの楽曲には1回目で心の奥まで届く響きがあるのでしょうか。1時間15分のパフォーマンスはあっという間でした。
I listened to their new album called ‘Walking on Fire’, which was released last month, then became a fan of the duo. I’ve listened their earlier songs on a streaming service and YouTube, of course, before the concert. Even so, I was worried whether I would enjoy it or not. However, such fears turned out utterly groundless. The first few songs were from the new album and they are my favorite. After a short MC, they played earlier songs and most of them are the ones I’ve already known so I enjoyed a lot. All the songs I mentioned in this blog recently were in the set list. They sometimes inserted short MCs and changed their instruments. What I was impressed by was the fact that I enjoyed even the songs I didn’t know at all. Actually, I was all the more exhilarated by those songs I didn’t know. I wonder how their songs have a power which hit home to me with only a listen. One hour and fifteen minutes passed in a flash.
松尾レミさんの声は心を揺さぶります。亀本寛貴さんのギタープレイには目も耳も奪われます。そして客演の他のプレーヤーたちの演奏も見事でした。来年の2月には東京新木場で有観客ライブと生配信を予定しているとのこと。行けそうにはないけれど、また配信を楽しむつもりです。
Matsuo Remi’s voice moves me deeply. Kamemoto Hiroki 's guitar playing fascinates me. Plus, other’s performances are also good. They are going to have a concert with an audience at Shinkiba in Tokyo and also stream it live in February next year. I’m not able to go but will enjoy it online.
