エビ中の隠れた名曲⁉：「踊るガリ勉中学生」 A little-known masterpiece by Ebichu?: ‘Odoru Gariben Chugakusei’ - Turkeyriceの勝手に英訳ブログ　Turkeyrice's Blog Written in both Japanese and English

　題名で身を乗り出します。世の中で一番踊りそうにないガリ勉が踊るというだけで胸が躍ります。前回の「YELL」と同じく、エビ中のライブを収録したBlue-rayで好きになりました。

　I’m already intrigued by the title of this song. It’s exhilarating that a grind, who seems to be the most unlikely type of person to dance, is dancing. I came to like this song by watching the blue-ray, which contains a concert by Ebichu, exactly the same as ‘YELL’ I mentioned last time.

　クセになります。ガリ勉くんの不器用さに笑顔になります。アルバムに収録されていないこの曲は、自分にとってはかくれた名曲でした。調べたところ、2013年の3rdシングル「梅」でリリースされた3種類のCDの一つに収録されていた模様。エビ中は、デビューして早々、良曲に恵まれていたことを思い知らされます。

　This song is really addictive. The clumsiness of the grind makes me smile. I can say this is a little-known masterpiece because it is not contained any album by them. I checked it out and found this song was contained in their 3^rd single, 2013 CD called ‘Ume’, which was released in three different versions and this song was contained in one of them. I realized that they were already blessed with good songs even just after they debuted.

　先日の関ジャムでは、【アルバムで聴いてほしいJ-POPの名盤】として、エビ中の「playlist」が紹介されていました。聴けばわかります。そして、それ以前のアルバムも全て名盤です。

　The other day, I watched a TV program called ‘Kan Jam’, which featured ‘Some albums you can call masterpiece in J-POP’ on that day, and they took up an Ebichu’s album called‘playlist’ in it. I believe you’ll agree once you listen to it. And, trust me, all the albums before that are masterpieces, too.

　余談ですが、「勉強」がらみでいうと、ニューキャシーメガネの「勉強」という曲も好みです。

Let me say in passing that, when it comes to ‘study’ as in title, there is another favorite song of mine, which is called ‘Study’ by other band called New Cathy Megane.
