名作です。純粋にドラマとして2020年を代表する一作と言っていい面白さです。正直、三浦春馬さんのことがあって、観始めるのにもためらいました。観ないでいる人もきっと多いと思います。しかし、笑って泣けるこのドラマは、観ている間見事にそんな背景を忘れさせてくれます。それでも、面白ければ面白いほど、4話で終わることが、そして、この素晴らしい俳優さんの演技を見納めになることが悔しくて、やっぱり哀しい気持ちになるのは事実です。
It’s a masterpiece. It’s so enjoyable that I can say this drama is representative of 2020. Honestly, I hesitated to watch it because of what happened to Miura Haruma. I guess there are some people who hold back from watching it. This drama sometimes makes you laugh and sometimes makes you cry so there is no time to think about the background. However, the more the story is interesting, the more I feel sorry that I won’t be able to watch his great performance as an actor anymore. So I end up feeling so sad.

「中堅おもちゃメーカーの経理部で働く九鬼玲子（くき・れいこ）は、とある過去が原因で『清貧』という価値観で生きるアラサー女子。金銭感覚が独特で、お金の価値ではなく、自分が愛する“モノ”の本質を大切にして暮らしている。その玲子が勤めるおもちゃメーカーの御曹司・猿渡慶太（さるわたり・けいた）は、『浪費』にかけては天賦の才能を持った男。営業部に在籍していたが、浪費のしすぎで玲子がいる経理部に異動になる。そんな金銭感覚が両極端な『清貧女子』と『浪費男子』が出会い、ひょんなことから鎌倉にある玲子の実家に慶太が住み込むことになり…。おカネ修行を通してひと夏の恋物語が繰り広げられていく完全オリジナルラブコメディだ。」
“Kuki Reiko, who works for a middle-ranking manufacturer of toys, is in her thirties and she lives up to a motto ‘honest poverty’ due to what happened to her in the past. Her sense of the value of money is so unique that she treasures the essence of her ‘possessions’ rather than its price. Saruwatari Keita, who is the son of the president of Reiko’s company and his ‘extravagance’ is something to the extent that can be called his natural gift. He was in the sales department but moved to the accounting department due to his over extravagance. Those extremes, ‘an honest poor girl’ and ‘an extravagant boy’ meet and end up living together because Keita started to live in Reiko’s parent’s house in Kamakura by chance. This is a totally original romantic comedy which describes a love story through learning how to spend money during the summer.’
良いドラマの定石通り、キャラの立ち方が素晴らしいです。松岡茉優さん演じる九鬼玲子の清貧ぶり、そして三浦春馬さん演じる猿渡慶太の浪費家ぶりのいずれも常識を著しく逸脱しており、ちゃんと可笑しみの域に達しています。そして、もちろんプロットも巧みに編まれていて、分かり合えるはずもない2人が次第に心を寄せ合っていくための出来事が、面白おかしく、納得できる形で積み上げられていきます。
This drama is marked by vivid characterization as all the good dramas are. Kuki Reiko, played by Matsuoka Mayu, is so contented with honest poverty and Saruwatari Keita, played by Miura Haruma, is so extravagant that they go extremely against common sense to the extent that you may feel it hilarious. Plus, the plots are woven well enough that the occasions which make the two people grow fond of each other are depicted so hilariously and convincingly.
やはり良いドラマは、よい言葉にあふれています。九鬼玲子の口癖、「よき」、「綻びが見える」、「お迎えする（新しいものを購入する）」など、聴くたびにワクワクして笑顔になってしまいます。猿渡慶太については、言葉というより、笑顔が沁みます。そして、その笑顔は三浦春馬さんの魅力そのままです。あんな邪心のない笑顔で魅せる役者さんはちょっと他に思い浮かびません。
明日の最終回が楽しみでもあり、残念でもある、そんな複雑な気持ちです。
Sure enough, a good drama is full of witty remarks. Reiko’s favorite phrases like “yoki (goody)”, “hokorobi ga Mieru (there’s something wrong with it)”, “Omukae suru (purchase a new thing)” and so on, and they make me smile and exhilarated every time I hear them. Regarding Saruwatari Keita, I’m impressed by his smile rather than his words. The smile is his characteristic. I can’t come up with any other characters who can smile as innocently as he does.
I have a mixed feeling about watching the tomorrow's episode. I’m not only looking forward to watching it, but also so sorry that it will be the last one.
