鬼滅にはノリ損ねました。映画公開の前にアマゾンプライムビデオでアニメを観始めてはみました。たしかに面白くて、10話ほどは観たのですが、そのあたりでなんとなく観るのをやめてしまいました。もともとアニメや漫画は大好きで、小学4年生から高校卒業までは少年ジャンプを1号も欠かさず買っていたクチです。その頃の感性を失ってしまったのかと、自分にがっかりしていました。
I was not so interested in the poplar animation called ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’. I tried to watch the series on Amazon Prime Video before the release of its movie version. I found them really enjoyable soon enough so I watched almost 10 episodes or so, but I somehow didn’t continue after that. I originally like animations or cartoons so much that I had never missed only a issue of Shonen Jump, a weekly manga magazine, from when I was in the fourth grade until when I graduate high school. I was disappointed that I lost my sensitivity.

でも、今度はノレています。今、ポスト鬼滅として人気のアニメ「呪術廻戦」、めちゃくちゃ面白いです。毎週金曜日にテレビで放送されていますが、翌日の土曜日にはアマゾンプライムビデオでも視聴できるようになっています。以下は公式サイトからのあらすじの引用です。
However, there’s one animation that makes me enthralled now. The animation called ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, which is becoming popular as post-Kimetsu, is really enjoyable. It is not only broadcast every Friday but also uploaded to Amazon Prime Video every Saturday. The following is a citation from the official HP of it.
「並みはずれた身体能力を持つ高校生・虎杖悠仁。祖父が死んだ夜に呪術高専一年の伏黒 恵と出会う。彼は、虎杖の持つ“呪物”を回収しに来たというが、ちょうどその“呪物”は虎杖の先輩らによって封印が解かれていた。“呪物”が引き寄せた、呪いの化け物に襲われる先輩たち。そこに虎杖と伏黒が駆けつける……。」
"Itadori Yuji, a high school student, has an unnatural physical ability. He meets Hushiguro Megumi, a freshman in a technical college called Jujutsu Technical College, on the evening of the day when Yuji’s grandfather has passed away. Megumi says that he came to collect the ‘cursed charm talisman’, which Itadori owns, and it was at that point that the Itadori’s seniors have just unsealed the talisman. The seniors end up being attacked by a cursed monster which is summoned by the talisman. Then Itadori and Hushiguro arrive there......."
祖父が悠仁に残した遺言は、「お前は強いから、人を助けろ」、そして「人に囲まれて死ぬんだ」というものでした。「呪物」をきっかけに呪術師としての力に開眼した悠仁は、都立呪術高専に入学し、祖父の言葉通り、自分が関わる人々を呪いから救うために呪霊と戦うことになります。このあたりの設定の面白さに加え、小気味よい展開の速さにぐいぐいと惹き込まれていきます。
What Itadori’s grandfather said just before dying were, “You are strong so you have to save people”, and “Die surrounded by people”. The talisman made Itadori develop his ability as a sorcerer and he decided to enter the Tokyo Metropolitan Jyujyutsu Technical College to fight against curst monsters trying to save people around him as his grandfather had told him. In addition to those settings intriguing, the delightfully fast development of the story makes me enthralled.
漫画で学んだ、大切な価値観て、けっこうあります。特に、男らしさとは何かを少年漫画で学んだ男子は多いと思います。鬼滅の刃もそうですが、この呪術廻戦も大切な価値観に下支えされた作品のようです。
I have a feeling that I learned important senses of values through reading manga. I suppose a lot of men particularly learn what a man should behave through reading manga designed for boys. This manga ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ seems to be based on the important senses of values as ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ is.
この正月休みにハマり決定です。まだ観られていない方はぜひ。
