こんなに好きにならせておいて、もう終わってしまいます。途中からの視聴とは言え、今クールでイチ押しだったドラマ、「コタローは１人暮らし」、今夜が最終話です。回を重ねるごとに、登場人物への愛着は深まっていきました。コタローのことを気遣う、同じアパートの住人たちは、それぞれに抱えている問題があり、コタローに向ける優しさにはちゃんと理由があるのでした。
It comes to an end after making me love it so much. I missed the first several episodes of this drama called ‘Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi’ but once I started to watch it, I love it best among the dramas this season and its last episode will be broadcast tonight. The more I watched it, the more my affection for the characters grew. All the tenants of the apartment house are concerned for Kotaro and each of them has his or her own problem, so there were certain reasons for their concerns for Kotaro.
先週放送の第9話では、コタローの部屋に、児童養護施設にいたときの仲間、岩永佑が訪ねてきます。ホストをしている佑には、実は借金があり、コタローが受け取っている生活費を目当てにやってきたのでした。見かねた狩野らが、佑を信用するなと諭しますが、それに耳を貸す気はないかに見えたコタローですが…。
In the 9th episode broadcast last week, a guy called Iwanaga Tasuku, who was a Kotaro’s room mate in the orphanage, visits Kotaro’s room. Tasuku, who works at a male host bar, actually has some debts so he came to Kotaro’s place to get the money which Kotaro is receiving for his living expenses. Karino and others are worried about the situation and try to persuade Kotaro not to trust Tasuku but Kotaro seems not to care about it at all…….
良いドラマはやはり、良い言葉に溢れています。自分の部屋で、佑に向き合うコタローは、
「佑どのは、ウソをついているのであろう。わらわは最初から気付いていたぞよ」
と切り出します。そう言いながらも、お金を渡そうとするコタローに戸惑う佑に対し、コタローが放った言葉に涙がこぼれました。それは、
「裏切られることより、信じたいことを信じられないことの方が、つらいであろうから」
というものでした。
Good dramas are full of good words for sure. What Kotaro says to Tasuku in his room is as follows.
“You may be lying. I knew that from the start.”
While saying that, Kotaro tries to give Tasuku some money and Tasuku feels bewildered, then I was moved to tears at the words Kotaro said after that.
“Being cheated is, I believe, more tolerable than being unable to believe what I want to believe.”
この言葉に、佑も目を覚まします。気が付いてみると、コタローの周囲に集まる人間たちは、その意図の善悪に関わらず、結局はコタローに救われているのでした。視聴者もその例外ではありません。自分もコタローの言動に心を洗われ、普段の自分を恥じる思いでした。
Tasuku pulls himself together with these words. Come to think of it, every single person who gets together around Kotaro ends up being saved by Kotaro despite whether their intentions are good or not. Viewers are no exception to this rule. I felt myself purified and also ashamed of my usual conduct.
最終回、単純なハッピーエンドは期待しづらいものの、コタローの幸せを願う気持ちでいっぱいです。
It is difficult to expect an ordinary happy ending in the last episode but I really want Kotaro to be happy.
