好きなアルバムから3曲：BiSH「まだ途中」（3rdアルバムCARROTS and STiCKSより③） Picking out three songs from one of my favorite albums: ‘Mada Tochu’ by BiSH (From their 3rd Album ‘CARROTS and STiCKS’③)

　このアルバムのタイトルを日本語に訳すと「アメとムチ」ということになります。この曲は「アメ」の中でも最も甘い部分かもしれません。頭から最後まで、もう容赦なくキャッチーです。そしてそれに乗っかるポジティブな歌詞は、聴き手を元気にする力を持っています。

　The title of this album, ‘CARROTS and STiCKS’, is translated as ‘Ame to Muchi (candies and lashes)’ in Japanese. I guess this song is the sweetest one among those carrots. It’s extremely catchy from beginning to end. Plus, the lyrics which sounds positive on those melodies have the power to make listeners cheerful.

　作詞はメンバーのモモコグミカンパニーさんが行っています。このアルバムの14曲中5曲を、メンバーが作詞しています。エビ中ファンの自分は、「まだ途中」というこの曲のタイトルで、つい「頑張ってる途中」というエビ中の曲を思い浮かべてしまいます。自分にとっては、どちらも甲乙つけがたい良曲です。

私立恵比寿中学　『頑張ってる途中』

　The lyrics were written by Momokogumicompany, a member of this band. In this album 5 songs out of 14 were written by the members. This title of this song, ‘Mada Tochu’ somehow reminds me, who is a fan of Ebivhu, of a song called ‘Ganbatteru Tochu’ by Ebichu. Both songs are so good for me that I can’t decide which one is the better.

　楽曲の構成が「アメとムチ」であるのは、1^stアルバムでも2^ndでも同じです。とびきりキャッチーな曲が合間に入っているのもそうです。パンクが好きだろうが嫌いだろうが、BiSHをまだ聴かれてない方には一聴することを強くお勧めします。

  In the previous albums, their 1^st and the 2^nd, there are songs “carrots” and songs “sticks” just the same as this 3^rd album. I can find some songs really catchy among them, too. Even if you like punk or not, I’d like to highly recommend you to listen to BiSH, if you hadn’t listened to them.
