こんなに面白い映画、今まで知らなかったのが残念です。染谷将太さんの魅力もこの映画で初めて分かりました。2014年公開の映画「WOOD JOB!～神去なあなあ日常～」をアマゾンプライムビデオで視聴しました。
It's a shame that I didn't know such an amusing movie. It was also the first time for me to know how good Shota Sometani is as an actor. I watched a movie called `WOOD JOB! ~Kamusari Na Na Nichijyo ~` (2014) on Amazon Prime Video.

映画「WOOD JOB!（ウッジョブ）〜神去なあなあ日常〜」予告
神奈川県に住む平野勇気（染谷将太）は、高校を卒業するというのに、やりたいことを見つけられず、就職も決まっていません。高校の担任が勝手に申し込んでいたという林業見習いの募集パンフレットを見た勇気は、その表紙に写っている女性の笑顔に惹かれます。そして、ただそれだけの理由で、三重県の神去（かむさり）村へとやってくるのでした。携帯電話の電波も届かないようなその場所で、1年間の林業見習い生活が始まります。居候先の主、飯田与喜（伊藤英明）は勇気のやる気の無さに苛立ちを隠さず、厳しい態度で接します。そんな中、不便さと心細さに耐えきれず、勇気はついに逃げ出してしまいます。そのときに出会うのが、あの表紙の女性、直紀（長澤まさみ）でした。結局、勇気は神去村へととどまることになるのですが……。
Yuki Hirano (Shota Someya) who lives in Kanagawa prefecture is about to graduate from high school but he didn’t find what he really wants to do so he hasn’t gotten a job. His teacher applied to a forestry company for him without notifying him and Yuki saw the cover of the application guidebook being attracted by the smile of the girl on it. That’s the only reason he decided to go to Kamusai village in Mie prefecture. He begins to apprentice at a forestry in the village where he can get no reception on his phone, and he is supposed to stay there for a year. Yoki Iida, the head of the family who Yuki lodges with is irritated by his perfunctory attitude so he treats him harshly. Yuki finally tries to run away due to the inconvenience and the loneliness. However, he comes across the girl who was on the cover of the guidebook while on the way to the station. Consequently, he ends up staying in Kamusari village…….
一言でいえば、一人の若者の成長物語です。不器用な勇気ですが、一生懸命に仕事をしていくうちに、自然に関わる仕事の尊さを、そして神去村の人々の優しさを実感し始めます。そんな勇気の変化は、厳しかった与喜にも伝わります。その過程を巧みに、そしてユーモラスに描いていく手法が秀逸でした。観ているうちに、いつの間にか勇気に感情移入し、神去村という場所が、そして、そこにいる全ての人が愛おしく思えてきます。観終わったときには、ちょっぴり切なく、でも、さわやかな気持ちになっていました。
In short, this is a sort of story about growing up. Yuki works clumsily but enthusiastically, and he gradually realizes how precious his job, which has something to do with nature, is and how kind the people in the village are. Yoki can tell the change which is happening in Yuki’s mind. The way in which the process was skillfully depicted with some humor was excellent. While watching, I also somehow felt that the village and the people in it are so precious. When I finished, I ended up feeling a wistful pang a little but refreshed.
原作は三浦しおんさんとあとから知って、少し意外に思いました。まだ視聴されていない方には、強くお勧めしたい映画です。
I was a bit surprised when I knew later that the original story was written by Shion Miura. I can highly recommend this drama if you haven’t watched it.
