ゆっくりとまぶたを開いて向けられる瞳にドキッとします。小西真奈美さんの容姿の美しさには以前から惹かれていましたが、このドラマで女優としてのすばらしさを感じました。役どころは、喜多善男の元妻で、以前は看護師だったのが、現在ではアパレル会社のやり手女社長になっている、鷲巣みずほでした。

I was fascinated by Konishi Manami’s beauty from long before, and I also felt her attractiveness as an actor through this drama. She played the woman named Washizu Mizuho, who is the former wife of Kita Yoshio and was a nurse but now is a capable president of an apparel company.
終わらせると決めた人生の残り11日、その1日目に、喜多善男（小日向文世）はアイドルの宵町しのぶ（吉高由里子）に会えたのでした。それも、どういう伝手か、矢代平太（松田龍平）のおかげですが、実は、善男の11日間での一番の願いは、別れた妻、みずほに会うことでした。それについても矢代平太は「会わせてやるよ」、と事も無げに引き受けます。平太と会って3日目に、その願いは早くもかなうのですが、しかし、11年ぶりに交わす2人の会話は、これ以上ないほど研ぎ澄まされたものでした。「みずほ、11年間、愛したのはお前だけなんだ。そして俺はそれが嬉しいんだ。」という善男に返すみずほの言葉は、次のようなものでした。「お願いだから、あたしだけだったなんてやめて…。お願いだから、残った時間で誰かほかの女の人と…、ね？あなたが、あたしだけを思って死ぬなんて、いやなの、いやなのいやなの！いやなの！！お願い…やめて！！」でした。そこまで嫌いなのかと、善男にとっては、全く救いのない言葉に聞こえます。しかし、彼女のこの言葉の裏には、ある秘密からくる、後ろめたさや後悔、自己嫌悪といった感情が満ちているのでした。喜多善男が知らないその秘密とは、彼が親友と思い込んでいる、11年前に死んだ男、三波貴男（今井雅之）に関わることだったのですが……。

Mizuho replies “Please don’t tell me it’s only me, .I beg you, you can love someone else during the time you still have… right?, I can not live with the fact that you die thinking of me as the only one you’ve loved, please don’t, don’t do that, I can’t stand it, please, don’t do that!! ”. Her words sound that she hates him so much that he feels there’s no help for it. However, all her feelings hidden behind these words are sense of guilt, regret and self-hatred due to a secret. The secret that Kita Yoshio doesn’t know has something to do with the guy whom Yoshio believes his best friend, and his name is Minami Takao(Imai Masayuki) who is supposed to have died 11 years ago.

破天荒だけど、自分らしく生きている宵町しのぶと、一見成功者に見えるけれど、自分探しをやめられず、結局は自分が何かわからないまま生きている鷲巣みずほとの対比がとても興味深く思えました。それにしても、このドラマで魅せる小西真奈美さんの顔は、一体いくつあるのでしょうか。やり手女社長としての毅然とした態度、精神科医の前で見せる子どものような弱さ、看護師のときの優し気な、でも、自信のない姿。それらを表情で、立ち姿で、声音で使い分ける女優としての力量には驚かされます。
I’m interested in the comparison between the two ladies, the one Yoimachi Shinobu, living a wild like as she likes and the other, Washizu Mizuho keeping trying to find out who she really is but not being able to do that despite looking a Winner in life. By the way, it is impressive that she shows various faces like the one of a dauntless, capable president, the other one of a weak person who shows a childish weakness in front of a psychiatrist, and the other one of a kind nurse without confidence. I was amazed by her skills as an actor switching characters by expressions on her face, the atmospheres in a standing pose and the tones of voice.
