宵町しのぶ、もう名前だけでワクワクします。このドラマの登場人物はみんな魅力的でしたが、中でも圧倒的だったのは吉高由里子さん演じる落ち目のアイドル、宵町しのぶでした。
Yoimachi Shinobu, just hearing this name thrills me. All the characters who appeared in this drama are really attractive, even so, the idol on the way down, whose name was Yoimachi Shinobu played by Yoshitaka Yuriko, was somewhat overwhelming among them.
死ぬまでの11日間に喜多善男がやりたいことの一つに、宵町しのぶというアイドルに会う、ということがありました。アイドルに特に興味などない善男でしたが、仕事でたまたま、ほんのわずかだけ関わりをもったしのぶに、人生で受けた数少ない優しさを感じたのでした（結局それは勘違いだった）。矢代平太（松田龍平）が請け合った通り、善男は宵町しのぶに会うことになります。待ち合わせのキャバレーに来た善男にはじめは不愛想なしのぶでしたが、善男の「ぼくは、自分を殺すんだ」という言葉に、身を乗り出して関心をしめすのでした。しのぶは、なぜかその夜、善男があてがわれているマンションを訪れます。ベッドに横たわる彼女を前にしてとまどう喜多善男に、しのぶが言った言葉は、「足裏マッサージさせてあげる」でした。善男にマッサージをさせたまま寝入ってしまうしのぶは、翌朝、メモを残して立ち去るのでしたが……。
One thing Kita Yohio wants to do during the 11 days before he dies was meeting an Idol called Yoimachi Shinobu. Yoshio originally didn’t have any interest in pop idols but he once met her while working and he somehow felt her so nice to him and it is rare for him to feel that way to someone (but it turned out his misunderstanding afterward). Yoshio actually meets Yoimachi Shinobu as Yashiro Heita promised. They meet at a cabaret but Shinobu treated him in a cold manner at first. However, when she hears Yoshio say “I’ll kill myself” she begins to show a keen interest in him. That night she somehow visits Yoshio’s place, a condo Heita prepared for him. Kita Yoshio doesn’t know what to do in front of her lying on his bed and what Shinobu says to him is “I let you give me a sole massage”. Having her soles massaged, she falls asleep, and the next morning, she leaves his place leaving a note for him…….

自己中心的で危なっかしい、まさに小悪魔といった宵町しのぶですが、損得抜きで喜多善男に関心を持つ、唯一の人物と言えます。芸能界の裏の世界をいやというほど見てきた彼女だからこそ、善男の人の好さが尊く思えたのでしょうか。この物語の中盤、喜多善男を思うあまり、彼を狂言誘拐にまで巻き込んでしまいます。こうした彼女の思いと行動は、一見善男を窮地に追い込むように見えますが、結果的には彼を救うことになっていく圧巻の展開が待っています。宵町しのぶは、演技が下手でセリフも棒読みなアイドルという設定です。しかし最終回では、主演が決まった演劇のリハーサルで、彼女が善男のことを思いながら語る涙ながらの独白のすばらしさに、その場の全員が胸を打たれるという場面があります。自分も恥ずかしいぐらい泣きました。世の中で一番大切なことが何か知っているのは、偉そうな男どもではなく、結局彼女のような女の子なのでは、と思わせるものがありました。
Yoimachi Shinobu is quite selfish and unpredictable so she deserves to be called an impish girl, even so, she is almost the only person who is interested in Yoshio without considering gain or loss. I guess she must have experienced the seamy side of show business too much so Yoshio’s goodness seems somewhat precious for her. She cares for Yoshio so much that she somehow ends up involving Yoshio in a faked kidnapping in the middle of the story, Her affections to Yoshio and her actions like that just seems to put Yoshio in a difficult position, but actually, she will be the one who can save him and this part of the drama is somewhat spectacular for me. Yoimachi Shinobu is a character who is supposed to be an idol being poor in performance or speaking lines on the stage. However, in the last episode, there is a scene where she recites a monolog thinking of Yoshio and all the people who hear it are really impressed. I cried a lot at the scene embarrassingly. It is something that makes me feel only this sort of girl knows what really matters in the world, not some guys who acts like a big shot.
