前回，ゆらゆら帝国について少しふれましたが，その楽曲の一つ「頭炭酸レディ」のボーカルはかわいらしい声の女性です。YOKOと表記されているこの女性はママギタァという，名前だけで癒されるバンドのドラマーです。ママギタァのサウンドは初期のビートルズを彷彿させるいわゆるマージービートで，90年代後半から２００６年に活動を休止するまでの間，海外でのライブ活動も積極的に行い，韓国やドイツでも人気を博していたそうです。今回紹介するのは，坂本慎太郎さんが主宰するレーベルから2012年に発売されたアルバム「ママギタァ・シングス・ママギタァ」に収録されている「Eat You Up / Bunny」という曲です。
I mentioned about Yura Yura Teikoku last time here, and one of their songs called “Atama Tansan Lady” features a lady vocalist with a cute voice expressed as YOKO who is the drummer of a band called Mama Guitar, only by the name I feel healed. Mama Guitar’s sound reminds you of the Beatles, which is so-called the Mersey beat, they were quite popular even overseas like in Korea and Germany while they were active not only in Japan but also overseas since the late nineties until 2006 when they stopped their activities. A song I introduce to you here is ‘Eat You Up / Bunny’ contained in an album titled “Mama Guitar Sings Mama Guitar” which was released in 2012 from the label presided by Sakamoto Shintaro.

初めてこの曲のPVを観たときは，アニメーションにマッチした楽曲の可愛らしさに衝撃を受けました。CDを緊急購入して聴きましたが，この「Eat You Up / Bunny」は数年たった今でもかかるとワクワクする曲です。60年代の曲を聴きあさりたくなってしまいます。
I was amazed when I watched the PV of this song for the first time due to the cute atmosphere that matched well with the animation. I bought the CD to listen to ASAP. Even after several years has passed, I still feel excited when I hear it. It also makes me feel like listening to the 60’s tunes.
