　名盤です。普遍的な何かにあふれています。この夏、友人が送ってくれたもう一枚のアルバムがこれでした。昔、ゆらゆら帝国を初めて聴いたとき、強すぎる個性を感じて素直に聴けませんでした。時間が経ってあらためて聴きなおした時に、ようやくよさが分かり、自分の認識力のなさを思い知ったのを覚えています。このアルバムは坂本慎太郎さんにとって4枚目、前作から6年ぶりのソロアルバムになります。収録曲は次の通りです。

　It’s a masterpiece. It is also full of something timeless. The other album my friend sent me this summer was this one. In the past, when I listen to the songs by Yura Yura Teikoku, the band Sakamoto belonged to, for the first time, I couldn’t enjoy them very much because I felt they were too eccentric. I remember that I finally understood how good they were when I listened to them again after a long time, and I realized my inapprehension. This album is his 4^th solo album, and it was for the first time in 6 years for him to release the new one. All the tracks it has are as follows.

　この聴きやすさはどうでしょう。初期のビーチボーイズを思わせるようなギターのエフェクト、軽快なパーカッション、ところどころで入る女声コーラスがたまらなく気持ちいいです。坂本慎太郎さんらしい、飄々とした、誰にも迎合しない自由な気分はそのままに、ポップで明るい曲ばかりが並んでいます。楽器の構成、アレンジ共にシンプルで、オールディーズと呼んでいいような懐かしさまで感じます。

　It is so comfortable to listen to. I feel so good because of things like the guitar effects, which reminds me of The Beach Boys’ early songs, lilting percussion, female back vocal you can hear here and there, and so on. I can tell the lighthearted, free-minded vibe, which is Sakamoto’s characteristic, and all the songs are pop and cheerful. He didn’t use a lot of instruments in this album and the arrangement of every song is so simple that I can call them oldies and I felt even nostalgia.

　歌詞にあふれるユーモアは相変わらずです。そこが坂本慎太郎さんの魅力であることは間違いありません。でも、ディスク２にはインストが入っていて、こちらを聴くと楽曲自体の素性のよさにハッとさせられます。とっつきやすいうえに、聴けば聴くほど好きになるアルバムです。音源はサブスクにも公開されています。まだ聴かれていない方はぜひ。

　The lyrics are quite humorous as ever. Humor is one of Sakamoto’s attractiveness for sure. This album has two discs and disc 2 has instrumental tracks, and I was impressed by them because I realized how good his music is even without his singing voice. You’ll soon come to like this album, and the more you listen to it, the more you like it. All the tracks are available on music apps. I highly recommend you listen to them if you haven’t yet.
