痛快にためになる内容でした。ここで示されるのは、既成の正しい価値観だけではありません。新しい、だからこそ意識して取り込むべき価値観が満載でした。こんなすてきなドラマを産み出す限り、テレビというメディアの存在価値はなくならないと思います。
It was exhilaratingly informative. What you can see there is not only a bunch of old, righteous senses of values. It was full of senses of values that are rather new, and that’s exactly why people need to make an effort to take them in. I have a feeling that TV won’t lose its value as a media so far as it produces such a nice drama.
このドラマで取り上げている問題の多くは、新しいも古いもなく、普遍的なものばかりです。出産・育児における夫婦のすれ違い、父母としての在り方、仕事と家庭の両立などは永遠の課題でしょう。一方で、性同一性障害の生きづらさや現在のコロナ禍という不測の事態など、現代特有の課題にもきちんと向き合い、納得できる価値観を示していました。このドラマの痛快さを端的に言えば、私たちがとらわれがちな、ステレオタイプなものの見方を片っ端から打ち砕いていくところです。
Most of the problems which are taken up in this drama are quite universal, some may look new and some may look old though. Some issues are eternal, for example, the confliction between husband and wife, what parents should be like, successfully coping with job and housework, and so on. On the other hand, some problems are characteristic of modern society such as the hardships suffered by LGBT people, the corona pandemic which was unpredictable, etc., and this drama tried to deal with them properly to show convincing senses of values. Putting it shortly, the reason why this is so exhilarating is that you can some stereotyped viewpoints are thoroughly broken in it.
言葉を大切にしているこのドラマは、一つ一つのセリフで言葉がよく選ばれていました。心に残った一言や言い回しはたくさんありましたが、特に印象的だったのは、新垣結衣さん演じるみくりが言った、「一緒にいるのに孤独」という言葉でした。結婚すれば幸せだとか、一人でいるのは不幸せだとか、そんなステレオタイプな考えを打ち砕く一言です。結局、一人一人の人生というのは孤独との戦いなのだと思います。
脚本家は、野木亜紀子さんです。「獣になれない私たち」や「MIU404」など、近年好みだったドラマが、この方による脚本であることを今回初めて知りました。
This drama is full of witty remarks and each line consists of well-chosen words. There are a lot of impressive words and phrases and the best one for me was, “I feel lonely even though we are together”, said by Mikuri, one of main characters played by Aragaki Yui. I think this is an expression that breaks the stereotyped ideas like, the marriage brings happiness, being alone is unhappy, and so on. In the end, everybody’s life is a battle against loneliness, I suppose.
The scenario was written by Nogi Akiko. I haven’t known that some of my favorite dramas such as, ‘Kemono ni Narenai Watashitachi’, ‘MIU404’, were written by her, too.
