こんなに嬉しいニュースがあるでしょうか。去年の10月から活動を休止していたメンバー、安本彩花さんが帰ってくるというのです。春ツアーにも参加予定と言うことで、ますます気持ちが上がっています。予習にもいよいよ力が入ります。
How happy I am now with the great news. Ayaka Yasumoto, an Ebichu member who has halted her activity since last October, will come back. I’m exhilarated all the more because she is planning to join their spring tour, too. Now I’m preparing for the concert enthusiastically even more.
全くの私見ですが、「PLAYBACK」という曲は、直近の「playlist」（6thアルバム）に入っていてもおかしくない曲です。しかし、そのためか、この「金八」のトラックの中では、むしろ目立たないように感じます。
In my personal opinion, it is not strange if the song ‘PLAYBACK’ was contained in their latest album “playlist”. That’s because, however, this song is somehow inconspicuous among the tracks contained in ‘Kinpachi’.

バックグラウンドで一貫して鳴っているハイハットシンバルや、浮遊感を生み出すフレーズの繰り返しは、むしろ80年代から90年代にかけての手法のようにも思えますが、幾重にも重ねられた音の厚みは今っぽさを感じさせます。歌詞もよいし、音自体に聴き入って気持ちよく体を揺らせる曲です。
The hi hats, which sounds continuously in the background, and the repetition of a phrase, which produces a feeling of floating, remind me of some kinds of music in the late 80’s to early 90’s, but the thick layers of the sounds has the taste of current music. so I’d like to listen to this song intently moving myself along them, not only relishing the lyrics.
歌詞についていうと、エビ中らしい可笑しみは全くありません。「海底に潜むシーラカンス ゆっくりと進化照らし出す」、「神がいるとしてもいないとしても 止めたくないんだ僕らのストーリー」のようなシリアスで意味深な歌詞が、とても印象的です。全くの私見ですが、こうしたところが、「playlist」の「ジャンプ」あたりを予感させるように感じます。5年も前のアルバムについて、今につながる何かを感じて勝手に喜んでいます。
As for the lyrics, they are not humorous at all unlike other songs by Ebichu. Those serious, meaningful parts like, ‘A coelacanth hides at the seabed, it highlights evolution’, ‘Whether God exists or not, I don’t want to stop our story’, are quite impressive. That’s the reason why this song reminds me of some songs in ‘playlist’, for example, ‘Jump’. I rejoice that I could find something that leads to their current songs in an album released five years ago.
