今の季節にぴったりな曲です。
ここ数年の音楽シーンで，若い世代のフォーク志向を感じるのは気のせいでしょうか。フォークという音楽がもつ気負いのなさ，飾り気のなさが今の空気とマッチしているように思います。相対性理論のやくしまるえつこさんがカバーした「恋するニワトリ」は，谷山浩子さんの85年のオリジナルよりも洗練されていながら，より素朴さを志向したような音作りをしているように聞こえます。WANIMAによるカバー，「切手のないおくりもの」はパワフルで前のめりな勢いでありながら，原曲のよさをさらに上げてきています。

Is it my imagination that I feel the young people's aspiration for folk songs for the last few years? I suppose the unassumingness and simplicity of folk songs match well with the atmosphere of the present day. "Koisuru niwatori", a tune covered by Yakusimaru Etsuko who is the main vocal of the band Soutaisei riron, is more sophisticated than Taniyama Hiroko's original song but It sounds being oriented to further simplicity in its arrangement. "Kitte no nai okurimono" covered by WANIMA is quite powerful and has an aggressive mood but it enhances the worth of the original song.
そして自分が今，一番注目しているのが平賀さち枝さんです。「カントリーロード」という曲を聴いたときはショックでした。いきなりの歌い出しから続く爽やかで軽快な盛り上がりに一発でハマってしまいました。ホームカミングスというバンドとのコラボですが，作曲は彼女がしています。ホームカミングスのボーカル，畳野彩加さんと平賀さち枝さんの声は絶妙に相性がよく，どちらかといえば湿り気のあるさち枝さんの声とやや乾いた彩加さんの声がよいコントラストを作っています。試聴する限り，ソロのアルバムにもいい曲が多いようなので楽しみです。
The singer I'm watching now is Hiraga Sachie. I was stunned when I heard "Country Road" by her. It started suddenly with only her voice and then it went so refreshingly and rhythmically that I was perfectly carried away and instantly into it. It is sung in collaboration with a band called Homecomings and composed by her. The voices of these two, Tatamino Ayaka who is the vocalist of Homecomings and Hiraga Sachie, go really well with each other. Sachie's rather moist voice makes a beautiful contrast with a little bit dry voice of Ayaka. As far as I can tell from some samples I listened, there seem to be good songs in her solo albums so I'm looking forward to enjoying it.
