He is a really attractive guy: ムロさんほんとに男前 ドラマ「大恋愛」を観て思い出したこと

　生きる喜びと，病への恐れをないまぜにしつつ，お話は進んでいます。周囲の理解も得ながら，一緒に暮らすための準備を始める２人ですが，戸田恵梨香さん演じる尚の病気はやはり少しずつ進行しているのでした。ＴＯＫＩＯの松岡さんを出し抜いてまでのムロさんの男前ぶりを，戸田さんも面白がりながら受け入れているのが見て取れて，とても微笑ましいです。

　The story is developing blending the joy of living and the fear of the disease. They started to prepare for the new life to live together gaining people’s understanding, but the symptoms of Nao, played by Toda Erika, is gradually developing. Muro is so attractive that he even beats Matsuoka, a member of TOKIO, to it, and Toda seems to admit it so the audience are amused to see it.

　ＮＨＫのＬＩＦＥで大好きだったムロさんのコントに，妖怪どうしたろうかしゃんというのがありました。「どうしてやろうか！！」と人を驚かそうと出てきたはいいが，全くのノープランのため，逆に人間に翻弄されるという役でした。そこではアドリブの旨さが光っていたように思います。

　There was a comedy I loved very much and that was about a monster character called “Yokai Doshitarokashan” performed by Muro in the NHK program “LIFE”.  The character suddenly appeared saying “I’m wondering what I should do for you!” repeatedly to surprise people, but it actually had no plan to do, so, on the contrary, it was completely made a fool of by people. I saw his skill shone in there.

　このコントよりもさらに感心したのは，石橋杏奈さんとのものでした。そのコントは，質屋で男物の腕時計と引き換えに笑顔で現金を受け取る杏奈さんの姿から始まります。そこにムロさんが現れ「それは親父の形見の時計だ，なんで勝手に持ち出すんだよ！」と詰め寄ります。一瞬，驚く彼女ですが，迷いのない強烈なビンタをくらわせ，「もういい加減，前を見ようよ！お父さんもおんなじ気持ちだよ！！」と一喝するのでした。他の回では，貸した３０万円を返してくれというムロさんに対し，振り向きざまにビンタした挙げ句，「目ぇ，覚ましてよ！財布の中身が豊かになるたび，心が貧しくなるのが何でわからないの！！」と叱りつけるのでした。杏奈さんのビンタは本当に切れのある理不尽なものでしたが，一瞬の恐れもなくそれを受け止めるムロさんは，本当に男前でした。

　Another comedy I liked more was the one Muro performed with an actress named Ishibashi Anna. The comedy started with the scene where a girl, played by Ishibashi Anna was receiving some money in exchange for a man’s watch with a broad smile at a pawnshop. Muro appeared there and said “It’s my precious watch that my dad gave me as a memento. Why can you bring it out without my consent!”. She winced just for a while but slapped him hard, mercilessly in the face shouting “It’s high time you look forward to the future instead of looking back! Your father would feel the same as me!!”.　In another version, Muro asked her to give him back three hundred-thousand yen he had lent., and she spun around suddenly to slap him in the face then yelled “Pull yourself together! Don’t you see the richer you become and the poorer you are in spirit!!”. Her slap was really unreasonable and sharp one, but Muro who took it without any signs of fear was really cool.

　大好きなバンド，sumikaのライブツアーＤＶＤ「スターティング・キャラバン」を購入しました。今年の７月に行われた武道館ライブのビデオです。セットリストは次の通りです。

　I bought a live tour DVD of sumika, one of my favorite bands, titled “starting caravan”. It is a video of their concert at Budokan in July. The list of the songs is as follows.

　１曲目は「ＭＡＧＩＣ」となっていますが，インストの「ピカソからの宅急便」がバックに流れる中でメンバーが登場した上での演奏でした。ファンならこの流れでもう大喜びですが、２曲目に「Lovers」が来てさらに盛り上がります。あとは５年間の集大成としてふさわしい選曲でした。個人的にはなぜか大好きな「まいった」が入っていて大喜びでした。

　The first song was “MAGIC”, but actually the members appeared on the stage with “Picasso karano Takkyubin”, an instrumental tune, as background music, and then started to play. If you were a fan, you were already excited with this opening but you’d be carried away when you knew the second song was “Lovers”. The rest of the songs were something that deserve to be called a great compilation of their five-year activities. I was really glad to know that “Maitta” was on the list, because I somehow love it very much personally.  

　派手な演出は一切なく，素朴だけど，本当に音楽だけで勝負しているライブです。ライブの音がスタジオ録音とほとんど変わらないことに驚きました。ボーカルの片岡さんの歌声もＣＤ通りでした。本当に実力のあるバンドだと感心しています。

　There was no gaudy atmosphere, rather simple on the contrary, but they really concentrated on their performance. I was surprised, because their sound is as good as the one recorded in studios. Kataoka’s singing voice was the same as the CD version. I was really impressed that they have good skills.

Where is the world I loved before? : 大好きだったあの世界は今？ 岩館真理子の世界⑨「アリスにお願い」

　ヒンヤリとしたミステリーです。岩館作品特有のユーモアは極力抑えられていて，一貫して緊張感が漲っている作品です。可笑しみにあふれる「冷蔵庫にパイナップル・パイ」と同時期に描かれたこのお話は，１巻に収まる短めのストーリーですが，少女たちの美しさと残酷さがあふれています。

　It’s a mystery with a chilly atmosphere. The characteristic humor of Iwadate’s works is held in check and it is charged with tension. This story which is rather short, only one volume, and full of beauty of girls and their cruelness was published at almost the same time as “Reizoko ni Pineapple Pie” which is full of a sense of humor.

　閉鎖され，さびれた遊園地のある町に住む高校生の美奈子には，暗い思い出が付きまとっています。子どもの頃に自動車事故で両親を亡くし，いとこの江利子の家に引き取られたものの，江利子も５年前に土砂崩れで亡くなってしまったのでした。美奈子と江利子を含む友人関係の中で女王的存在だったアリスは，江利子が亡くなって以来，なぜか不自然なほど美奈子に優しく，親友としてふるまっていました。やがて遊園地の解体が決定されたことをきっかけに，江利子の死を巡っていくつかの新事実が浮かび上がってくるのですが……。

　A high-school girl called Minako lives in a town which has a closed amusement park, and she has some dark memories. She lost her parents in a car accident when she was a little girl, then she was adopted by her cousin Eriko’s house, but Eriko died in a landslide five years ago. Alice who had behaved like a queen in the girls’ group which included Minako and Eriko became unnaturally nice to Minako and behaved as the best friend since Eriko died. The amusement park is decided to be torn down in due course and it eventually reveals some facts…….

　今でいう，イヤミスといっていい後味で印象に残る作品です。実はこの本には嬉しいおまけがついてます。巻末に岩館真理子さんと吉本ばななさんの対談が写真入りで掲載されているのです。創作するうえでの苦労から，男性の好みまで語られていて惹きこまれます。

　謎めいた美少女を絡めたミステリーを，また新しく描いてほしいです。

　This work is so called iyamys which some people call works with a nasty aftertaste nowadays. To my delight, this comic has an extra part. There is a dialogue between Iwadate Mriko and Yoshimoto Banana at the back of it. I read it with absorbed interest because they talked about so many things like troubles in creating works, their tastes in men and so on.

　I’d like Iwadate to publish another mystery featuring beautiful girls again.

Where is the world I loved before? : 大好きだったあの世界は今？ ＮＨＫ「ＬＩＦＥ」

　現在も不定期で放送されているＮＨＫのコント番組「ＬＩＦＥ」ですが，星野源さんが出られていた頃を懐かしく思い出します。歌手や俳優としての星野源さんももちろん好きですが，この番組ではコメディアンとして抜群のセンスを発揮されていました。星野源さんをメインとしたコントでお気に入りだったのは「ゴリランＸ」でした。悪の秘密結社によって誘拐された青年が，改造人間ゴリランＸにされそうになるというお話でしたが，星野さん演じる青年，ケン・トウマと内村さん演じるＤｒ．モーガンのやりとりがめちゃくちゃ面白かったです。

　The comedy program “LIFE” is still broadcast irregularly by NHK, I tend to look back on the days Hoshino Gen appeared with nostalgia. I like him as a singer or an actor, but he showed his great sense of humor as a comedian in this program. The best comedy performed by Hoshino Gen was the one called “Gorillan X”. it was a story about a young guy who was kidnapped and almost transformed into an monster called Gorillan X by an evil underground organization, the conversation between Ken Toma, played by Hoshino, and Dr. Morgan, played by Uchimura, were really hilarious.

　星野さん以外のレギュラーによるコントも，面白いものがたくさんありました。一番好きだったのは，ココリコの田中さん演じる生物学の教授が，新種のカメムシを発見するコントでした。世界的な発見に大喜びする教授と学生らでしたが，やがて学生の一人がカメムシの匂いに覚えがあると言い出します。そのうちにその匂いが教授の襟首の匂いと同じだと判明するにつれて，世紀の発見にも教授の表情は暗くなり，遅れてやってきた石橋杏奈さん演じる女学生が「いやぁ！やめて！あたし，この匂いだけはダメ！！」と悲鳴を上げてとどめを刺すというコントでした。

　星野さんがこれだけ大物になってしまった今，昔のようにはいかないと思いますが，時々は当時のメンバーでやっていただけたらと願っています。

　Other comedies played by other regular members were also funny. The one I loved best was a comedy played by Tanaka, one of the pair of the comedian “Kokoriko”, and he played a professor of Biology who discovered a new variety of stinkbug. The discovery was a kind of worldwide fame so the professor and his students were overjoyed but one of the students began to say that he remembered the stink of the bug. Then they began to notice the stink is the same as the smell of the professor’s nape so the professor’s facial expression grew dark despite the discovery of the century, and finally a girl student came and shouted “Oh no, give me a break! I can’t stand this stink of all smells!” repeatedly to spoil everything.  

　Now that Hoshino Gen became a big name, I know everything can’t be the same as before, but I hope they can make the program with the old regular member even once in a while.

LIFE! ~人生に捧げるコント~ series-1 [DVD]

This drama is also good, isn’t it?： このドラマもいいかも ムロツヨシさん出演「大恋愛～僕を忘れる君と」

 　ムロツヨシさんがすごいです。ＴＢＳで金曜夜１０時放送のドラマ「大恋愛」で，戸田恵梨香さんの恋人役を演じているムロツヨシさんの魅力が爆発しています。主人公が若年性アルツハイマーになってしまうというシリアスなテーマにも関わらず，このドラマには随所に視聴者を笑顔にする場面がちりばめられています。それもムロさんのユーモラスな表情や演技に負うところが大きいように感じます（あとサンドイッチマンの冨澤さんも面白い）。

　Muro Tsuyoshi is now really catching on. Muro appears in a drama titled “Dairenai” which is being broadcast by TBS at 10 p.m. on Friday and he plays a lover of Toda Erika showing the explosive attractiveness. The main character contracts Alzheimer’s disease so the theme of this drama is very serious. Even  so this drama somehow also makes you smile in many parts of it and that’s mainly because of Muro’s humorous expressions and performances, in addition to that, Tomizawa, one of the pair of the comedian “Sandwich Man” is also hilarious.

　ムロさんを初めて知ったのは，ＮＨＫのコント番組「ＬＩＦＥ」でした。その中ではむしろ女性から気持ち悪がられる役が多かったように思います。このドラマでは，戸田さん演じる美人女医にベタ惚れされる貧乏作家（現在休筆中）という役柄です。モテるムロさんは想像しづらかったのですが，遜色なく見事にモテておられます。第２話の終わりに，若年性痴ほう症の前段階にあることを明かした主人公の尚に，ムロさん演じる真司は，愛を告白しますが，この台詞回しが圧巻でした。視聴者を泣かしながらも笑わせるという奇跡の台詞回しだったのですが，あれはアドリブだったのでしょうか。戸田さんは本気で吹き出しているように見えました。

　ムロさんは，ＣＭで石田ゆり子さんにまでモテています。ほんとに男前では，と感じ始めています。

　I knew Muro for the first time through watching a comedy program called “LIFE” broadcast by NHK. I remember that he rather played characters who tended to be disliked by women in that program. In this drama, he plays an impoverished author, not writing anything now, who is deeply loved by a beautiful woman doctor played by Toda Erika. It was hard for me to imagine Muro being very popular by women, but he plays naturally the guy being loved by the woman. At the ending of the second episode, Nao, the main character, revealed that she was in the early stages of presenile dementia, after that Muro confessed his love to her and the lines he said at that moment was the best part of this episode. It was a kind of miraculous lines which made audience cry and laugh at the same time, so I wondered whether that was ad-lib or not. It seemed for me that Toda couldn’t help laughing really.

　Muro is also loved by Ishida Yuriko in a TV commercial. I begin to feel that he may be a really attractive guy.

[新ドラマ] 『大恋愛〜僕を忘れる君と』1分スペシャル予告動画!! 10/12(金)スタート!!【TBS】

She came to Nagasaki: あの人が長崎に！ 吉澤嘉代子さん 長崎ラブフェスに出演

　思いがけないことでした。先日，ツイッターを見ていたところ，吉澤嘉代子さんご自身のつぶやきに「今日から長崎に行きます！」とあり，驚きました。うかつにも，大好きなアーチストが，長崎の放送局主催のイベント，ラブフェスに出演されることを知らずにいました。毎年，この時期の土日に長崎で開催されるラブフェスは，複数のアーチストのライブを無料で楽しめるお得なイベントです。今年の出演者は次の通りでした。

　It was something I didn’t expect at all. I looked at tweets on twitter and I was surprised to find Yoshizawa Kayoko, one of my favorite singers, tweeted “I’m going to Nagasaki today!”. I had been careless enough that I didn’t know my favorite artist was going to appear in an event called LOVEFES, held by local broadcasting stations in Nagasaki. LOVEFES is an event which takes place on a weekend at this time of year and you can enjoy live performance of many artists for free. The lineup of the artists this year was as follows. 

　生で聴く吉澤嘉代子さんの歌声に圧倒されました。控えめで，か弱い印象とは裏腹に，アコギ一本でのパフォーマンスには何かしら猛々しいものがあり，画面に映し出される表情と目力に凄みを感じました。めちゃくちゃカッコいいと思いました。歌われたのは４曲で，「ミューズ」「シーラカンス通り」「残ってる」「東京絶景」でした。

　吉澤嘉代子さんは，つい先日，清 竜人（きよしりゅうじん）さんというアーチストとのデュエット「目が醒めるまで」をYouTubeに公開しています。１１月７日には新譜「女優姉妹」が発売されますが，その後に行われるツアーでは福岡にも来られる模様。このツアーには東京事変の伊澤一葉さんも参加されるとのことで，ますます楽しみです。

　I was overwhelmed by the gripping power of her live singing voice. Contrary to the first impression of her which was rather quiet and delicate, her performance with only a guitar was somewhat ferocious and her expressions on her face and the eyes are even intimidating on the big monitor screen. I just thought it’s really cool. The songs sung this time were “Muse”, “Coelacanths Dori”, “Nokotteru”, and “Tokyo Zekkei”.

　She released a MV of a duet song with Kiyoshi Ryujin, titled “Me ga Sameru Made” on YouTube the other day.  The new album titled “Jyoyu Shimai” will be released on November 7^th , after that she will have a concert tour and will come to Hukuoka. Izawa Ichiyo who was a member of Tokyo Jihen is going to join the tour so I’m really looking forward to it all the more.

Good cocktails in my favorite bar: 仏蘭西屋の美味しいカクテル 「キューバ・リバー”Cuba Libre”」

（2020年7月現在、残念なことに仏蘭西屋は閉店しています）

　ラムベースのカクテル「バカルディ」，ロックで楽しむフレーバード・ラム「キャプテン・モルガン・プライベートストック」と，ラムについての話題が続いています。先日，仏蘭西屋のメニューで心惹かれたカクテルもやはりラムベースのカクテルでした。「キューバ・リバー」です。ラムをコーラで割って，ライムジュースを加えたものです。

　Recently, I brought up a couple of topics about rum such as “Bacardi” kind of a rum cocktail, and “Captain Morgan Private Stock” a flavored rum you can enjoy on the rocks. A cocktail that intrigued me the other day was also a rum cocktail when I turned the pages of the menu in France Ya. The cocktail was “Cuba Libre”.  It is a rum cocktail mixed with cola and lime juice.  

　「リバーは河のことじゃなかとよ。」とマスターが教えてくれました。スペイン語でリブレ，自由という意味だそうです。キューバがスペインから独立した頃に，支援してくれたアメリカのコーラを用いて作られたのが，その由来とのこと。

　生まれて初めて飲んだカクテルらしきものはウイスキーコークでした。子どもの頃大好きだった矢沢永吉さんの歌にもあるこのウイスキーコークは，自分にとって身近に感じるカクテルですが，キューバ・リバーの方がはるかにまろやかで飲みやすいと思います。ロングドリンクはお腹がいっぱいになりますが，時々飲みたいカクテルです。

　 “Libre is not river” the bartender said. The word is Spanish and it means liberty. The name of the cocktail appears to be derived from the fact that the cocktail originated in Cuba when the country won independence from Spain and cola was from America which supported Cuba. 

　Whiskey Coke is the cocktail I had for the first time in my life. Whiskey Coke is quite familiar to me because it was the title of a song sung by Yazawa Eikichi who I was a big fan of when I was a boy, but I feel Cuba Libre is mellower and more delicious than that despite using the same cola. Long drinks fill me up soon but I sometimes want to enjoy this cocktail.
